This Wednesday, October 19, marked the official cinema release date of the film “Le Nouveau Jouet,” in which you will discover the works of Alben, Aspencrow, and Hom Nguyen!
Three major artists in the contemporary art scene whom we have the pleasure of representing at the In Arte Veritas gallery.
Directed by James Huth, “Le Nouveau Jouet” is a beautiful contemporary tribute to Francis Weber and his film “Le Jouet,” released in 1976. This comedy tells the story of Samy (Jamel Debbouze), who leads a happy yet financially complicated life with his friends and neighbors in his suburban Parisian community. With his wife Alice expecting their first child, he is forced to take a job as a night watchman in a department store. The owner, Philippe Étienne (Daniel Auteuil), is the wealthiest man in France who, after the death of his wife a year earlier, has gradually distanced himself from his only son, Alexandre. Philippe decides to privatize the entire toy department for Alexandre’s birthday, so that he can choose whatever he wants.
But the spoiled and lonely child decides to choose Samy, the night watchman, as the new toy…
A touching comedy to enjoy in theaters and exceptional works to discover in the gallery.
